6th Children's Illustration Contest Winners

For the 2025 Children's Illustration Contest, we draw inspiration from the "Rainbow Collection" (Colección Arcoíris) from Editorial Juventud. A collection of illustrated picture books where, through poetry, you can explore colors with all your senses.

The 2025 Children's Illustration contest theme was "One Color, One Landscape."  With this theme, we aimed to encourage participants to explore their imagination and creativity by illustrating a landscape—real or imagined—where one color takes center stage, using the technique of their choice. It was a beautiful opportunity to continue educating children about environmental preservation through art, inspiring awareness and care for the world around them.

We received 188 illustrations from different South Florida cities, such as Miami, Coral Gables, Homestead, Weston, Cutler Bay, Key Biscayne, Pembroke Pines, and Aventura. Participants also came from other cities in the US, such as New York and Alpharetta (Georgia). Additionally, we received submissions from different parts of the World, such as Venezuela, Argentina, and Spain.

We want to thank the VoLo Foundation for its continued support and the Coral Gables Museum for collaborating with us to exhibit all the illustrations. We are also grateful for the local and foreign schools and organizations that helped us spread the word about this contest, from which many contestants came.

We want to extend special thanks to the jury for evaluating the illustrations and choosing the winners. We are sure it was difficult because of the number of participants and because all these kids showed fantastic talent.
